Overview

The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and administrative tasks. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR processes and contribute to projects that impact the workforce.

 

Internship Details

  • Location: Burton, Ohio (on-site)
  • Duration: Approximately 10–12 weeks (summer)
  • Schedule: Full-time preferred
  • Compensation: $25.00 per hour. This position has a set starting wage.
  • Mentorship: Direct support from the TA team

 

Responsibilities

• Assisting in sourcing and recruiting local talent. This includes setting up interviews, participating in the interview process, and handling follow-up communication with candidates
• Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation to help introduce new employees to the company culture, processes, and procedures.
• Assist with benefits administration and HR compliance tasks as needed.
• Provide support in organizing and managing employee recognition programs and celebrations
• Providing administrative assistance to the HR team, such as preparing correspondence (emails, letters) and reports, managing electronic records, or assisting with general office duties.
• Completing any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the HR management team, which could vary depending on the organization's needs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Prior experience in an office setting or HR department is a plus
• Ability to handle personal and confidential information
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Good computer/systems skills – MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Knowledge of HRIS and timekeeping preferred.
• Good cooperation and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.
• Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact well with all personality types.
