Overview

To provide administrative support and preparation of bills of lading and the scheduling for outbound customer order shipments and bills of lading and the scheduling of raw material pickups required for production.

 

Shift: 1st shift 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all shipments and requests.
  • Prepare daily pickup sheets, review Delivery Note Planning Report (DNPR) for daily shipments, generate and check bills of lading for all shipments.
  • Follow up on shipments and notify appropriate Associates of any late or missed deliveries.
  • Coordinate daily pickups for fleet and common carriers.
  • Communicate daily with customers regarding shipment status and pickups.
  • Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two (2) years' experience in logistics in a manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
  • Good cooperation and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interact well with all personality types.
